Over the Christmas period we will be closed on Christmas day and Boxing day.

We are still taking orders for party catering, cakes, cupcakes and other sweet treats on all other dates.

Friday 21^st December – Catering Heaven will drop off some goodies to offices on our round, take any ordersand announce the winners of the Christmas raffle. Normal products such as sandwiches wil not be available on this day.

Catering Heaven commended at Bromley Business Awards 2012

We unfortunately did not win the category we entered, but were lucky enough to be commended at this year”s Bromley Business Awards.

The Bromley Business Awards, now in their second year, are organised by South London Business, in association with Biggin Hill Airport, to showcase the best businesses in the borough.

More than 100 firms of all shapes and sizes entered this year across nine categories and the top category, Business of the Year, was selected from among the nine category winners.

Robert Walters, Business Development Manager at Biggin Hill Airport, the principal sponsor reminded nominees that everyone is a winner. He said: “It is awards like these that demonstrate to others in business that companies of all sizes can succeed, and those nominated tonight provide the inspiration to do so.

“The awards recognise the contribution of vibrant businesses also fighting to buck the economic trend and add value to our local area. I’d like to congratulate all business that entered. Each one is a success story in its own right, with valuable lessons we should all take on board.”

With news that the UK was out of recession, the Chairman of South London Business, Sir Bob Scott, reminded the audience that tough times are still ahead but he said, “it is the business community and companies in this room that will lead us out of this extraordinary difficulty.”

Also referring to economic news, Councillor and Bromley Mayor, Michael Turner, said: “The awards are an opportunity to celebrate the best businesses in Bromley and it seems quite appropriate that we’re holding these awards this evening because we’ve heard that we’ve come out of recession.”

The awards were free to enter and open to businesses of all sizes. Companies could nominate themselves, as well as their customers or the general public. A judging panel selected the winners for each category and the overall winner, the Business of the Year.

National Cupcake Week 2012 takes place from September 17 to 23, when a range of special events, promotions and bake offs for charity take place in craft and High Street bakeries, shops, clubs and schools across the nation. Created by the journal British Baker to celebrate the vibrancy and innovation of the British baking industry, the aim of National Cupcake Week is to get the whole nation enjoying at least one cupcake a day.

Catering Heaven is getting involved by designing a new cupcake flavour for our menu, in honor of this special week.

Catering Heaven on Heart Radio Kent!

We have just got back from an amazing morning spent with the team at Heart Radio Kent including their breakfast presenters Charlie O”Brien and James Hemming as well as producer Matt!

Of course we couldn”t arrive without bringing Catering Heaven treats! We decided upon our popular chocolate cupcakes with a casino jameshallison vanilla buttercream and red fondant hearts and Union Jack flags. The hearts were of course to represent Heart Radio and the Union Jacks were to represent their 2012 Challenge party – casino you can find out more details about the 2012 challenge here.

James and Charlie were kind enough to mention Catering Heaven on the radio and the cupcakes we had made for them – they certainly enjoyed tucking into them!

Winner of our Facebook Competition receives prize!

We recently ran a competition on Facebook for one lucky “liker” to WIN a box of 12 of our delicious cupcakes.

Everyone that had liked our Facebook page by the time we reached 100 was entered into the pot, all with an equal chance of winning. After building the suspense, we announced Denise Maxted from Orpington, Kent as our winner!

When delivering her delicious prize to her home today, Denise said “I was so happy to pioneerbisonfarm.com Win! I never win anything!” Her son was certainly very keen to get stuck in and try them!

Denise chose 2 flavours; Vanilla & Devils chocolate cupcake for her box of 12 (usually we ask that a minimum order of 12 of each flavour is ordered as they are made freshly to order, but as Denise was our competition winner, we broke the rules a little for her 😉 ) and seemed thrilled to receive them.

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee 2012

Celebrating 60 years of The Queen”s reign

The Queen came to the throne on 6 February 1952, with her coronation taking place on 2 June 1953. She celebrated her Silver Jubilee (25 years) in 1977 and her Golden Jubilee (50 years) in 2002. This year, she celebrates her Diamond Jubilee – 60 years on the throne!

People all over the country are planning public and private events to mark the occasion – are you one of them?

The Queen is Head of State of the UK and 15 other Commonwealth realms. The elder daughter of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, she was born in 1926 and became Queen at the age of 25, and has reigned through more than five decades of enormous social change and development. The Queen is married to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and has four children and eight grandchildren.
